Blogger Will Have Custom Templates Now!

Posted in JSR75 by forge on March 27, 2010

Blogger had only the Minima that I liked until now, didn’t want to use the themes, there weren’t many good themes and also these were difficult to find. Loved Minima (white) until now.
But now Blogger has introduced Blogger Template Designer

15 new, highly-customizable templates from our design team, split into four families: Simple, Picture Window, Awesome Inc, and Watermark

One-, two-, and three-column layouts for each template, with complete control over the size and arrangement of the columns

Hundreds of background images and patterns from iStockphoto, the leading microstock image marketplace.

it’s not that the older templates aren’t available you can revert to a default old template in the new upgraded interface, this default is chosen randomly from the older templates and is fixed for an account! but if you want to select template of your choice then you would have to revert back to older interface, (blue orange -2004 redesign) but the option wouldn’t appear until you revert to regular than the draft blogger (which is being deprecated) the blog will not be updated but the draft blogger will remain working, draft blogger updates would be posted to g+ page for draft blogger
blogger (google) should make these older templates available somewhere for there is code and design which someone worked so well like rounders, simple II, minima stretched! seems like google wouldn’t care so if you want copy all the older templates on your own to your local drives.

now that all user accounts would be upgraded to upgraded interface in sync with product redesign by google allover it’s network of products! now it’s orange grey and white everywhere!
